Areas of Practice
Medicaid
Including applying for nursing home and community Medicaid, fair hearings, crisis planning and creating asset protection trusts.
Probate proceedings
Assisting with the orderly transition of assets from your deceased family member's estate to the beneficiaries when he or she died with a Last Will and Testament. Also, proceedings to contest a Will or accounting for the proper distribution of assets.
Estate Planning
Including Medicaid asset protection trusts, trusts for minors or disabled individuals and Last Wills and Testaments, along with other advance directives such as Powers of Attorney, Health Care Proxies and Living Wills.
Estate administration proceedings
Similar to the Probate proceeding, when a person dies without a valid Last Will and Testament. Similar issues occur during these proceedings.
Guardianship proceedings
Including proceedings to appoint a guardian for an incapacitated person or developmentally disabled person, or a minor.
Miscellaneous proceedings affecting senior citizens and families.
For example, protecting the rights of your family members in a nursing home, protecting the rights of a person to be free from elder abuse.
